On the Connections :: Dashboard admin page, does the entry show up in either the upcoming or today’s anniversaries/birthdays widgets?

Also, make sure the entry is public as well as the anniversary/birthday is set to public. When you make a change or update an entry it can take a hour or two for the cached results to expire and be refreshed. For performance reasons, the list is not updated “live” results are cached for a period of time.
