Well, I’m running out of ideas of the than the jQuery version as I don’t really see any other issues.

The Connections Hours extension, I’ll be releasing an update hopefully this week to fix a couple minor HTML markup errors. It is very unlikely to cause any issues, but I guess it does not hurt to at least try deactivating it temporarily to see if for some reason the theme header is “sensitive” to html mark errors.
