I answered this yesterday, you might have missed it, here’s the link to my reply. The only reason WordPress would give an error stating that the connections folder already exists is if Connections were not installed and you were trying to install it again … OR the files downloaded for the extensions were renamed. If that is the case, you should use the files exactly as downloaded, do not alter them in any way.

Can you attached screenshots of the Plugins admin page and the error you are receiving?
