re: I tried resetting the role capabilities a couple of times with no luck. Still seeing the message that the user (subscriber level) does not have permissions to make changes. I have add, edit, delete & view private checked off. (Also- but not a big deal- I do not have checked off moderated but some are still getting stuck there)

Please check you configuration. Here’s the doc page.. You should only have the Add Entry and Edit Entry capabilities enabled, nothing else, though, View Private is fine.

If with this configuration you still receive the error, I’ll need both a temp admin account and a temp user account so I can take a closer look. The login details can be posted here as a private reply.
