“that will not work” is sufficient for me some days. :)
I went back into the Names template in the main Connections plugin and changed style.css back to its original settings, eg. multiple columns, etc… (I had manually overwritten to get this done).
I then changed custom-names.css to names.css in the /childtheme/connection-templates/names/
I then checked the display on the site, and viola, it is as I wanted, the changes in the css in the childtheme are in place, overwriting the css for the Names template from the base plugin.
All good, it seems.
Someday, there might be a better way to display the selected records as I am attempting with the Names usage there. But for now, if it works, I’m on to the next thing on my site that doesn’t. :)
