Originally when Connections was developed there really wasn’t a way to use the image library. Nowadays it somewhat simple to do. So, at some point, I’ll be adding this as an option but I can not give an eta as it is a lower priority item since it is not requested all that often. what I will be doing sooner is creating a gallery type of extension for Connections. This extension will solely use the image media library.
