Sorry, no, Connections does not auto import WP users. There is Link, that can link and existing user to an existing entry when the user logs in and if there is no entry, they can add one.

Other users have used a combination of Connections, a member plugin, and a login redirect plugin to achieve what it sounds like you want to accomplish.
