To achieve that, you’ll need to pre-process the images that you upload so they have the same ratio as the image settings. I hope that makes sense! Hmmm, I’ll give an example.
The default image size used in the cMap template is the Medium images setting found on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Images tab. The default value is 225 x 150px. So before you upload a image you’ll have to crop it manually so it has the same ratio. Lets say the image you plan on uploading is 1024 x 768px, crop that image to 900 x 600px and then upload it. How did I come up with 900 x 600px? Here’s how. 225 times 4 equals 900 and 150 times 4 is 600px. How do you know you’ve got the right ratio? 225 divided by 150 equal 1.5. 900 divided by 600 is also 1.5. So as long as the image you upload has a ratio of 1.5 it scale without white space filling in.
