I figured a work-around by adding this to my CSS.
div#cn-list span.cn-return-to-top img {
display: none;
}
If/when I still have the map link displayed, there is still a divider ‘|’ showing next to it but it’s livable. But when I have both Bio and Maps not displayed, it’s fully gone, and the 25-30px of vertical space is reclaimed and looks good.
Would be a great shortcode option for those who don’t want it displayed.
