Ok. I know the issue. Links are persistent. Meaning, once a link, or lack of one, is found Link will not attempt to link a user to an entry again no matter how many times you change email addresses in either the user account or in their Connections entry. Why? Because email address change and you wouldn’t want to make it easy to hijack the user account or the Connections entry. My guess is that you logged into your site before your entry was in Connections or the email addresses were different at the time of login.
I did two things … I made sure it would link you user account and Connections entry. Now, when you login, they will be linked. I also, installed the beta version of the next release of Link which is a little less aggressive in its protection of links when one was not created because there was no match on the initial login. What it will now do is on every login by a user, check for a matching email address in Connections and if found, link the accounts. If a match is not found, instead of marking the user as already checked do not check for a match again, it does nothing permitting a match to be found on subsequent logins. Once a match is found and a link is created however, the link is permanent. Changing email address will not break the link. Future versions of Link will come with ways for an admin to manage this manually.
Hope that helps.
