The templating engine has been completely revamped starting with version 0.7.6.1 so it sounds like you might have been doing something that is not compatible with the new templateing engine. I put in a lot of effort to make sure it was as backward compatible as possible so I not exactly sure which direction to point you.

Since it is causing the Templates admin page not to show, maybe you’re using a function that no longer exists. So, try checking the server PHP error log first for any errors. If you find nothing there. Try installing the BlackBox plugin. This will add another bar to the top of the page which will show you all the errors that are occurring on your site.
