Thanks for your answers! I’ll check out the FAQ you pointed me to. I have some followup questions below:

#2. I like the idea of using Link to let users maintain their own info. I’ll investigate that further. However, for this to work for us we would need to be able to export the data to a csv so that we can use it for mailings etc. Is this possible? If so, then I think we could use Connections as our database. (For reference, we currently have a separate online form that members submit to update their contact info, this feeds into an excel database. The database then is used to create mail merges for mailings etc, as well as the csv that I’m using to load the initial data into Connections.) We would still have the issue of getting all the current photos in our database into Connections which sounds really labor intensive, I’ll have to think more about that. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!
#4. Is the Visibility indicator an all-or-nothing deal, or can you specify by field? For example, we have some members that want to be listed with their address, but they want their phone number to be unlisted. Is it possible to specify this in the csv Visibility column?
