I’m sorry, but you should not use the HTML generated by the shortcode on it is own … you should use the actual shortcode itself. Using the generated HTML makes it “static in the page, it will not, as an example, show newly added categories. Which is pretty much the reason you do not see categories on that page, the category options are completely missing.

Edit the page in the admin, remove the HTML, and use the [connections] shortcode.
