The maap support was just recently add to the Excerpt Plus template since I’m somewhat frequently asked how to add it.

To turn it off on your site add enable_map=false to the existing shortcode on your directory page. It should looks something like this:

[connections enable_map=false]

If you already have other options set in the shortcode, add the option to it, do not add it to the page as a second shortcode.
