Ok, then you need to do the opposite of what I said in my previous reply. Disable the display option and use the [connections_categories]. However, you will need a page in which to display the directory with the [connections] shortcode. The [connections_categories] shortcode will need to have the home_id option to point to the page with the [connections] shortcode.
