You do not need to use shortcode options with cMap. Use the Template Customizer instead.

Navigate to the Connections : Templates admin page and click the Customize button for cMap. The page will reload with the Customizer on the left and a preview on the right. By default the Customizer will allow you to turn off items. Click the back arrow in the upper left of the Customizer to access the many other panels you have access to to customize the cMap template.

Please read the notes in the Customizer preview above the directory. The important one being that you can customize the display of the list view separate from the single entry profile view to give you greater flexibility.
