HollySteven, thanks for the prompt response. I think I’m being a bit confused, which of course makes it challenging for you to help me.
The email address being used by the login User ID and connection entry is a match, the WP user and directory entry are properly linked, and the blog posts themselves are showing with the right author. (So far, only one author). Where the challenge comes in is the author box plugin also installed on this site is set to show on pages as well as blog posts, so it’s showing up at the bottom of the Connection directory individual entry pages (presumably because they’re a “page”).
At first I was thinking it was going to be okay for it to be there and I just needed to figure out how to have it show the entry as the author and not me as the admin who added them. However, I’m now realizing that really is going to be unnecessary / redundant, so need to figure out how to have that not show up on the directory entry pages at all without turning it off on all pages.
I’m now a little more clear in thinking it’s the developer of the author box plugin I really need to be reaching out to. But with what these parts are doing, I’m thinking WordPress is somehow telling other plugins that the “author” of the individual Directory pages is not the respective businesses those pages represent but instead the website admin (or maybe the user that installed the other plugin?)
Is that less or more confusing now? :)
