To remove the Google Maps error, please re-enable the Google Maps API option on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Advanced tab in the Compatibility section. Generally there is never a reason you would need to uncheck this option. Actually, it is only useful under some very specific scenarios so I’m very likely going to remove this option in a future update since to date it has caused more issues than it has helped to resolve.
