You do it the same way, but, while in the Customizer, click an entry name in the preview. The preview will refresh displaying the single entry profile detail view. Make the change again and then save and exit the Customizer.

The reason you have to do it twice is because the list view and the single entry profile detail view can be configured separately providing you with quite a bit of customization possibilities.
