re: Apparently the shortcode for LINK from last year had changed?
I’d have to research the history for you particular case but there are actually two shortcodes. The original (old) was either custom code implemented for you or added by a code snippet I gave you in this support forum.
The current (new) shortcode is the now officially supported version that I added to Link as a standard feature since more users have requested such a feature.
The shortcode names were different in order not to conflict for those using the old one off code snippets. Both should continue to work just fine together.
They basically do the same thing but the officially supported version is superior.
re: However, the FORM will not save. It simply goes back up to the top of the page with no message or function to having saved any edits.
This seems to indicate another plugin or perhaps the theme is causing a fatal javascript error on the page. Fatal javascript errors cause all javascript after the error not to run.
You can determine this by navigating to the page in Chrome, hitting the F12 key and then clicking the Console tab. All page errors will be listed there. Make an edit to the entry and then submit it. Any further errors will be listed, if any.
I did try to login so I could take a look but both logins were rejected.
If you can verify the logins, I will take a another look so I can help get this resolved for you.
