No, the connections-templates/cmap folder should not be in the plugins folder. It should be in one of these:

  • ../wp-content/theme/{child-theme}/connections-templates/cmap
  • ../wp-content/theme/{parent-theme}/connections-templates/cmap
  • ../wp-content/connections-templates/cmap

You can do this using shortcode options for cMap too. See this in the docs.

Sorry, not sure I understand. Could you give more detail? The cMap template already includes a single view when you click on the entry name, it takes you to the entry’s page.
