I had considered making a template that filtered like that, but, the way it was implemented on your sample site would not scale beyond a hundred or so without causing significant page load times.

Maybe after I finish implementing the REST API for Connections (that would allow me to do something like this in a scalable way). No promises as this is going to take a lot of time to finish.
