To do this, do not yet activate Connections or it’s addons on the destination site. First, navigate to the ../wp-content/uploads/ folder on the source site and download the connections-images folder. Upload this folder to the same location on the destination site.

Here’s where is a gets a little harder…

Login to the source’s site phpMyAdmin tool and navigate to the database being used for the source site. Export all the tables that begin with {wpdb-prefix}_connections where {wpdb-prefix} is the database prefix for your WordPress installation. If you are unfamiliar with exporting tables from phpMyAdmin, there are many, many great tutorials on the net which cover tat topic in great depth. It really is not hard, just select the tale, choose Export with the selected tables and choose the default options.

Now, with the tables exported you need to import them on the destination site. Login to the destination site’s phpMyAdmin tool, click import. YOu should be able to use the default options when importing if you used the default options when exporting.

NOTE: If you had already installed Connections on the destination site, you first need to select the existing connections tables and drop (delete) them before you can import.

After you have imported the tables, you now need to rename each table so the wpdb_prefix matches the destination site’s wpdb_prefx.

Now, you can install and activate Connections on the destination site and your data and images will be used.
