re: First off–thanks so much for the super plugin and first-class support. I appreciate all the many hours you’ve invested to make a great product.
Thanks! I do try hard.
re: Just wondering if you might be able to post the solution for the public to see and re-use, to reduce the amount of time you might need to invest in addressing this for others in the future.
I hesitate to share the exact specific because if not done 100% correctly could cause a lot of trouble.
Since the proper address field did not exist, I determined the database update for the address table was not applied for some reason on your site. The database update should have triggered at version .4
Using the Plugin Editor I edited the
connections.php file, line 214 (as of version 8.2.30:
I uncommented it and changed
0.3, the exact version to the 0.4 database update. With the change made, I saved the change. After the page refreshed, saving the change and also apply the version change. I commented that line of code again and saved it so it would no longer run.
The version change triggered the database update as it should have originally and Bob’s your uncle! :)
re: Also, hopefully this might give you a few more ideas for improving the error logging so this problem would become more apparent sooner?
Yeah, the code to display the database structure is the beginning of the code to verify the structure. The details on how and when that verification should take place I have not worked out yet. Honestly, this is a lower priority item as I’m focused on building support for the new WP REST API.
