It sounds like another plugin wiped/reset the custom role/capability permissions. s2member is does this on its updates. Here’s a link to a FAQ that’ll help you reset the custom Connections role capabilities.. The FAQ is targeted towards s2Member but the instructions will work just fine in resetting the roles/capabilities. After you do this you will regain access to the admin pages.
