re: I just switched back to the default template after looking at the Tile Plus Template display and realizing the problem with the bacground and alignment. I removed the CSS that you suggested I add to the theme so that it wouldn’t still have an effect once I removed Tile Plus and now the default template is all messed up.
I want to point you to a couple docs:
I took one last quick look (fixed it for you too)… you changed the shortcode on the page… copy/pasted the demo shortcode from the doc page for Tile Plus. When you did that, you also pasted the HTML, the pre
tag. By doing so, you inadvertently styled the directory to the theme’s style for code. You can copy/paste shortcodes into the WordPress text editor, but you should always do it in the “Text” tab, never in the “Visual” tab. This is not a bug or Connections limitation, doing this will affect all shortcodes. Actually, any time you copy paste anything from a webpage into the WP Visual tab some of the underlying HTML from the source page will be pasted. Keep that in mind in the future if you paste something and the formatting does seem right.
re: I very much appreciate the response and support I have received, but there are just too many issues for me to continue to work with this plugin.
How many issues?
SeedProd Coming Soon breaking, by design or accidental bug, breaking the core WP is_user_logged_in
function, not Connections fault. I understand that caused you lost time and I am sorry for that but that is sort of a critical feature one expects to just work.
A minor CSS issue where the theme on line 77 of its CSS is basically adding a blank space and displaying it as a “table” before and after HTML div’s which broke the floating required for the tiles. The bit of CSS I gave will fix it right up.
You mentioned an issue with the CSV Import, no specifics, but I can’t help to wonder if that too was somehow caused by the broken core WP is_user_logged_in
function. The source could have been the issue as I mentioned, either way this is definitely not something most run into.
re: May I please have a refund for the items I have purchased.
Yes, I’ll close out your account and deactivate the licenses on Monday. If you paid via credit card, those take 7—10 business days to process.
Apologies for the troubles, good luck in launching your site. Looks lovely.
ps. If I may, the drop down menu for the sub pages, the font is a bit small with grey text on grey back ground. For a little better accessibility, you might want to enlarge that a bit and increase the contrast.
