Ok, the issue… YOu have WP Super Cache installed and activated. You were not seeing your changes because WP Super Cache was displaying the old page without the change. Pro Tip: always deactivate your cache when making changes ;)

So, clear that cache and deactivate it and you will see your changes.

ps. A couple issues I did see and fixed. The folder was named connections-template instead of connections-templates. There was also a coding error in the card.php template override file.
