re: That’s bad news. I will have to switch to a different BL plug-in. :(
If you find one that allows URL/s like the setup you want, please share because I would love to see how they worked around the WordPress Rewrite API rules. Honestly though, the URL/s generated by Connections for its entries are pretty good SEO links.
re: I searched the support and faq area for instructions or a module to properly EXPORT my ~4000 entries … but couldn’t find any info. Any suggestions on how to handle that part?
There is no export yet. That is planned for later this summer. You have two options presently. Use phpMyAdmin (or similar) and export the tables from your db as CSV files. You can then open them into Excel as a single workbook and use a VLOOKUP (I think) formula to link the data from the various CSV files from the export from mphpMyAdmin. Another option is to use this script. It is not a plugin but a standalone PHP script. Its setup is rather complicated but it works. It’s going to be the base on which the CSV Export feature in Connections is going to be upon. The trouble with the script is that you have 4000+ entries. Depending on you host, you may or may not being able to export them all before you exceed your hosts PHP limitation.
Hope that helps.
