It sounds like you may have copy/pasted shortcode from this site into the WP Visual editor. When copy/pasting from a web page into the Visual editor the HTML will also be pasted which in this case seems to be a link to this site.

To fix it…

Edit the page with the Connections shortcode on it, switch the editor from the Visual tab to the Text tab and remove any HTML tags from within and around the shortcode. Save the page. Now it should work as expected.

Here’s a link to a little QuickTip on working with shortcodes that you might find helpful since it does not apply only to Connections but every plugin which uses shortcode.
