Oppps, there is one more change, this needs to be added:

.footer-area .footer-widget-col > ul > li:first-child > span > a {
  background-image: none;
  padding-top: 0px;
}

You don’t need to do any editing now … I saw the theme had a custom CSS area in its options so I added this code. All is good now.
