This is actually a WordPress error. It seems like it is not properly installing the plugin. I’m guessing you’re just clicking the update now link, yes? Try downloading the plugin from here. Deactivate and delete the version of Connections you have installed. No worries, your data will be safe. Now, manually upload/install the plugin zip file.
