Yes in the fact that every can have n-number of addresses added to it. When adding/editing an entry, just keep clicking the Add Address button for each address you want to add.

No, because of the available address types, Mailing address is not an option. You could choose the Other address type when adding an address and then use the Say What? plugin to rename Other to Mailing. To do that, follow this QuickTip.
