Thanks for letting me know! I’ve added this to my bug tracker. The upload logic is going to go thru a refactor sometime this summer. Right now I use a third part library to handle it instead of using core WP functions. Now that the WP functions are far more robust than they use to be and easier to use, I’ll be dropping the third party library in favor of the core WP functions. I expect this to fix this issue.

I’ll reply back when back when I release an update containing this change.
