You know… I forgot/didn’t know or something… but you have Enhanced Categories installed. It’s a simple settings change on the Connections : Settings admin page under the display tab. Change the Display Style option under the “The following settings are used to configure the display of the categories assigned to an entry.” section from List to Block. Mission complete (I hope :) )!
