This looks right to me. You are using the Enhanced Categories extension. In it settings you have the option to display the category hierarchy. To turn this off, navigate to the Connections : Settings admin page and click the Display tab. Scroll down until you find the “Display Parents Display the category hierarchy?” option. Disable it and save the changes.

Now, when the categories are displayed you will not see the hierarchy. Hope that helps!
