Ok, I logged in and performed a test and it seems to work correctly the user/Connections entry were linked as expected. The steps I followed:

  1. Created a new entry named “0 Test Link” with a test email address.
  2. Created a new user named “0-test-user” with the same test email address.
  3. Opened a private browser window and logged in as the “0-test-user” user.
  4. Then I check the link status on the Connections : Manage admin page for the “0 Test Link” entry and it indicated the “0-test-user” user was linked.

So I did another test…

  1. Created a new user named “1-test-user” with an email address from the “Adkerson, R*****” entry.
  2. Opened a private browser window and logged in as the “1-test-user” user.
  3. Then I check the link status on the Connections : Manage admin page for the “Adkerson, R*****” and it indicated the “1-test-user” user was linked.

This too worked as expected.

Once final test…

  1. I registered a new user using the Register link.
  2. The registered user is “2-test-user” using the email address for the “Allen, S*****” entry.
  3. As the admin I approved the entry.
  4. Opened a private browser window and logged in as the “2-test-user” user.
  5. Then I check the link status on the Connections : Manage admin page for the “Allen, S*****” and it indicated the “2-test-user” user was linked.

Again, this worked as expected.

So, everything seem like is it in good working order. I left the test users and the links in place so you could see them to verify. You can safely delete the test users and test entry.
