Categories can be imported and they can be anything you want them to be. There is only one predefined category in Connections and that is “Uncategorized”. To learn how to import categories with the entries using the CSV Import, read this FAQ.

For Slim Plus, if no image is uploaded, by default there would be a placeholder but that can be turned off by using this shortcode:

[connections image_fallback='false']
