The correct way to change the value is in this FAQ. If that does not change the bottom border and the name too, then the theme (most like) as style declarations which are overriding the ones set by the template. I would need you to share a link to your directory page and the color you want it to be changed to in order to offer a working solution. The details can be posted here as a private reply, but please immediately follow up with a public reply letting me know you posted the details. I do not really follow with what you’re asking about the checkboxes and search.
I will be implementing a CSV export. I hope this year, finally, but I’m not certain for sure. There’s been a decent amount of work already completed, by there is still very much more to do.
