*I think* I just fixed a bug last night that would cause this issue … I’ll be pushing 0.8.11 out later today.

The issue I fixed last night is that the path to child theme would be overwritten by the other paths instead of the other paths being appended to the child theme path. The net result is that the child theme path would never be searched.

On the other hand, I’ve not tested with multisite, so, that could be the issue. You could test multisite compatibility by moving the custom CSS files to the parent theme, if they load, then I know my fix will work with multisite child themes too. I’ll hold off on the release until later today, so hopefully I’ll hear back confirming one way or another.
