The snippet code is not running because the Code Snippets safe mode has been enabled. Please disable the safe mode by removing the
After you disable the code snippet safe mode the custom city field should display.
Hoe this helps, let me know.07/13/2018 at 12:03 pm #467451
Yep! That fixed it. Now I can see the field as an option when managing or adding new entries.
I’m still not able to see the changes on the card.php file, though. I’ve followed the steps in how to create a custom template override file and have it in
I’ve pasted the following code into the card.php file:
$text = $entry->getMeta(
‘key’ => ‘city’,
‘single’ => TRUE
if ( ! empty( $text ) ) echo '' . esc_html( $text ) . ''; ?>07/13/2018 at 12:12 pm #467452

Oh, question… you are not literally using the
parent-themefolder are you? If you are, that is only a placeholder for the actual theme folder.
So in your case it should be something like this:
../wp-content/themes/benevolence-wpl/connections_templates/circled/card.php07/13/2018 at 12:38 pm #46745507/14/2018 at 10:12 am #467485
I had to go back and reference the docs on custom template override files…
connections_templatesneeds to be
connections-templates. Change the underscore to a hyphen.
Does that help?07/16/2018 at 9:41 am #467579
